Proper Parenting...

You know you are raising your son right when he wakes up in the morning singing an impromptu song about Jesus and Star Wars.

Garage Sales

A few weeks ago, we had our own garage sale, and David seemed to enjoy meeting all the people who stopped by.

Yesterday, after our Saturday morning donut routine, we went to our church's missions garage sale and then to local neighborhood garage sales. I found quite a few clothes for him and a Tonka truck tent, which he loves.

David made a purchase of his own using his chore money: a truck! It was adorable and funny when the gentleman operating the garage sale asked David how much he wanted to pay for the truck, and David responded, "Uh...duh money...donuts!" Apparently, the man didn't take donuts as a form of currency.

Overall, it was an exciting and thrifty day, and next weekend we plan to do it all again! We love garage sales! Em

Kyle's 1st Father's Day

We woke up, and David and Kyle played Star Wars for a while.

Then, David and I gave Kyle his present: a homemade sneaker card and 2 books.

We relaxed a little, went to church, and had pancakes for lunch. Not a bad 1st Father's Day for a great Daddy.

Snoodies

Almost every morning, Daddy and David wake up and fix our breakfast smoothies (or as David says, "Snoodie!"). David loves to help assemble ingredients into the blender, push the button, and sample the fruits. We Farnhams love our Snoodies!

David loves them so much that he makes duck and frog snoodies during his bath time.

Here's to more snoodies!

First step into a much larger world...

Well, today has been a soccer day. Since this morning, that is pretty much all David has wanted to do. "Go outside. Play soccer?" So of course Emily and I took turns running around the yard kicking the soccer ball. The real fun came later in the day.

David was playing soccer with his cousin, McKenna, just having fun kicking the ball and chasing it down. Then they started kicking the two balls at each other to make them "crash." About this time I turn to see MaKenna kick her ball dead center into David's...ummm... crotch. David just smiled and looked over at Emily and I before saying, "Oh! Pee pee hurt!" He just laughed it off and continued playing. All I could do was smile and laugh as well because in the future it may not be such a lighthearted affair.
